Five Year Integrated Business Plan

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust Integrated Business Plan introduces a new era and showcases the Trust confidence, ambitions, aspirations and exciting plans to spearhead an application to become one of the first ambulance services in the country to achieve NHS Foundation Trust status.

It sets out the Trust story on how it intends to remain top class whilst overcoming anticipated, unprecedented challenges. Spearheading the development of ambulance services in the south west will not be easy but the successful implementation of this plan makes it possible.

The Trust is immensely proud of its successful track record in serving patients and saving more and more lives in the south west region. This far reaching blueprint for the ambulance service demonstrates the Trust optimism for the future and provides comprehensive details of how the Trust will retain its exceptionally strong reputation by continuing to be high achieving.

NHS Foundation Trust Annual Plan

The Trust has historically produced an Annual Business Plan sets out how the Trust will achieve its performance targets and key objectives over the forthcoming year, using the funds provided by the NHS organisations which purchase its services.

As an NHS Foundation Trust South Western Ambulance Service is required to provide Monitor, the Independent Regulator, with forward planning information in the form of an Annual Plan. This document sets out the forward plan for the next three years and forms the document against which Monitor will assess the Trust’s risk ratings for the forthcoming year.
